Employment and Labor

The Firm's Employment and Labor Department represents employers and management in all phases of labor relations and employment law. Our clients include employers ranging from national corporations to small businesses throughout the southwest, as well as public employers such as cities, counties, and state agencies. The department provides advice to employers regarding a wide range of employment issues, including subjects such as employment discrimination, wrongful discharge, collective bargaining, and grievance arbitration. Our practice includes representation of employers before federal and state courts, as well as federal and state administrative agencies, including the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Oklahoma Human Rights Commission, the Department of Labor, the National Labor Relations Board, and the Oklahoma Workers' Compensation Court, to name a few. Our practice also includes defense of employers in state and federal occupational safety and health administrative proceedings and judicial review. We are the editors of the Oklahoma Employment Law Letter, a monthly publication designed to educate and inform employers of new developments in employment law. Our Firm's employment attorneys take pride in advising employers from a planning standpoint on a full range of employment-related personnel matters, including employee discipline and discharge issues, personnel policies and procedures, affirmative action plans, employee benefit matters, and the like.
